“You catch more flies with honey than vinegar” who haven’t heard this statement? My interpretation musically is, you draw more fans globally if you give them something hot and sweet. You want all sorts of fans bust most of all you want insiders to draw to pull from to connect your music with the major players. It is said that a first impression is a lasting impression; if so, then doesn’t it make sense to hit them with your best shot. So often we do a self-analysis of our own music. Of course, we are hotter than the next act hands down. If you don’t you don’t believe it, how can you expect anyone else to? Unfortunately, the blunt truth is, self-evaluation just doesn’t work. The truth is, it’s just not enough. It takes the general public embrace to decide if the music is hot or not.
